István Haraszti is Head of Quality for the past 5 years at thyssenkrupp Springs and Stabilizers Hungary Ltd., with a total of 13 years of experience in the automotive industry.
He has held key quality leadership positions at multinational companies such as Schaeffler, thyssenkrupp, General Electric.
His core expertise includes OEM-customer de-escalation, quality system development, and building strong, long-term partnerships with big OEMs such as the Volkswagen Group, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, and Audi (D-TLD).
He is a certified VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949 internal auditor, and a Six Sigma Black Belt Trainer by DAF Trucks in Holland.
István believes in a systematic, process-based approach that enables sustainable success through Kaizen, continuous improvement, and customer-focused results. His professional achievements have been recognized with multiple awards, including the JLR Q-Award, in thyssenkrupp’s Global Best Quality Improvement Plant Award, Kaizen Award by the Kaizen Institute Hungary.
He is also dedicated to shaping the next generation of professionals by lecturing at the University of Debrecen in the fields of Lean and Quality Management. He actively participates in industry-academia roundtable discussions and professional conferences, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
